About You:

As the Training & Curriculum Coordinator, you bring strong training coordination experience and exceptional organizational skills. You have an interest in and passion for the landscape and horticulture industry and creating practical, relevant learning opportunities.

You are comfortable coordinating multiple courses, instructors, training providers, participants, and deadlines at the same time. You take initiative, pay close attention to detail, and enjoy working collaboratively with employers, industry professionals, and internal teams. You value being present and engaged with your team and are comfortable working primarily from our Milton office.

What You’ll Be Doing:

You will plan, coordinate, and evaluate training delivered through Landscape Ontario’s Skills Development Fund (SDF) programs, including GROW and Apprenticeship, with a particular focus on Career Advancement training for incumbent workers. You will also coordinate GROW’s Employers of Choice (EOC) stream, which provides landscape and horticulture employers with practical learning in people management, workplace practices, and organizational success. This role includes developing individual training plans, managing registrations, coordinating instructors and third-party training providers, monitoring training budgets, and supporting participants and employers throughout the training process.

You will also work closely with Landscape Ontario’s Professional Development team to coordinate sector-specific courses and learning opportunities. Your day-to-day work will contribute directly to government-funded workforce development outcomes and help meet key project and funding deliverables.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

Training Development and Coordination

- Plan, coordinate, and evaluate in-person, virtual, and blended training.
- Research and recommend training topics, instructors, delivery approaches, and learning resources.
- Arrange and coordinate curriculum development and updates to maintain quality, consistency, and relevance to Ontario’s landscape and horticulture industry.
- Support the development of practical tools, reference materials, and online learning resources.
- Work with employers and participants to identify skills gaps, career goals, and suitable training opportunities.
- Coordinate registrations, schedules, attendance, participant communications, completion records, and required documentation.
- Track participant progress and outcomes, including credentials, upskilling, career advancement, and job retention.
- Ensure training activities and records support government funding performance targets and reporting requirements.

Instructor and Training Provider Coordination• Recruit,



onboard, schedule, and coordinate instructors and third-party training providers.
- Communicate learning objectives, schedules, participant needs, delivery requirements, and program expectations to instructors and training providers.
- Monitor participant experience and training quality and address delivery issues as they arise.
- Navigate difficult conversations while maintaining positive working relationships with instructors, colleges, training organizations, facilities, employers, and industry partners.
- Support with evaluation of training effectiveness and document recommendations for improving curriculum, delivery, and participant experience.

Training Logistics
- Secure training facilities and coordinate seminar schedules, equipment, technology, catering, learning materials, and other delivery requirements.
- Manage participant communications from registration through course completion.
- Support on-site delivery, including room preparation, attendance, instructor support, materials, audiovisual equipment, certificates, and participant feedback.
- Maintain accurate training plans, registration records, attendance, completion documents, credentials, evaluations, and supporting program files.

Administration
- Monitor assigned training budgets, including instructor fees, provider costs, registrations, facilities, supplies, and other training expenses.
- Ensure expenses are properly approved, documented, and aligned with program budgets and funding guidelines.
- Support with budget forecasting and planning for future training activities.
- Collect and analyze participant, employer, and instructor feedback.
- Prepare program updates, summaries, and supporting information for internal and funder reporting.

Requirements:

- Demonstrated experience coordinating and/or delivering workforce training, adult education, and/or professional development.
- An interest in and/or knowledge of the landscape and horticulture industry is an asset.
- Experience managing courses and schedules.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written, verbal, conflict resolution and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience tracking budgets, invoices, expenses, and training documentation.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms,



Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, virtual meeting platforms, and online program-management tools.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, solve problems, and collaborate effectively across teams is a must.
- Experience working in a not-for-profit, association, or government-funded environment is an asset.
- A valid Ontario driver’s licence and access to reliable transportation are required for occasional travel to training locations, industry events, and partner sites.

About this Position:

- Full-time, fixed-term contract position through June 29, 2027, with the possibility of renewal.
- Salary: $60,000- $70,000 per year,
- Includes 3 weeks vacation and personal time off, and health benefits.
- Reports to the Career development Coordinator and works closely with the Workforce Development leadership.
- Primarily in-office, with some hybrid flexibility; based out of our office in Milton, ON.
- Some evening or weekend work may be required based on training activities and events.
- Occasional travel within Ontario is required.
- A valid Ontario driver’s licence and access to reliable transportation are required.
