Shape the future of family law in Prince George, BC, as a Staff Counsel. This permanent full time position focuses on family law and child protection advocacy.

In the role of Family Lawyer, you will manage a diverse legal practice, providing advice and representation in family-related legal matters. Responsibilities include courtroom representation, legal document preparation, and negotiating settlements for clients facing challenging situations. You will have opportunities to mentor junior staff and collaborate with community organizations to enhance legal access for marginalized groups.

Key Responsibilities:
• Offer legal representation in family and child welfare cases
• Manage complex family law matters including divorce and custody




• Prepare pleadings and legal documentation
• Conduct legal research and assist with strategy development
• Facilitate community partnerships for improved legal services

Requirements:
• Juris Doctor degree and BC Law Society eligibility
• Demonstrable experience in family law
• Strong advocacy and negotiation skills
• Excellent communication and client service knowledge
• Valid BC driver's license and available for travel
