Take charge of sample preparations as the Sample Preparation Lead Hand at ALS. Overseeing the preparation floor entails maintaining quality standards and training technicians to meet client demands. In this lead position, you will supervise the daily operations of the sample preparation team, ensuring adherence to process standards.

Your expertise will assist in resolving operational issues efficiently while contributing to the team's training and development efforts. This hands-on role requires attention to detail and a commitment to quality. Key Responsibilities:
Ensure smooth operations of the Sample Preparation floor
Guide staff in quality control and procedures
Facilitate training for Sample Preparation technicians
Manage specific sample preparation tasks as needed
Perform basic mechanical care of equipment Requirements:
Relevant degree/diploma in geology, chemistry, or equivalent
Minimum 2 years in minerals laboratory experience
Forklift license and Level 1 First Aid certification
Competency with laboratory systems and basic mechanics
Capability to lift heavy items and endure a moving workplace At ALS, support scientific advancement in a cooperative, impactful setting.
