Job Title: Process Re-Engineering Consultant
Location: Toronto, ON
Work Mode : Hybrid – 3 days
Contract: 6 months
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Process Re-Engineering Consultant for a 9-month transformation engagement focused on improving end-to-end operational processes. The role involves process analysis, stakeholder collaboration, operational improvement, and technology-enabled transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze current-state business processes, workflows, risks, and controls.
- Document current-state and future-state processes using clear and structured process documentation.
- Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with business, Finance/Treasury, and IT stakeholders to develop improvement recommendations.
- Support action planning, prioritization, effort estimation, and milestone tracking.
- Maintain process improvement trackers covering actions, owners, timelines, dependencies, risks, and status.
- Monitor progress, identify blockers, and follow up with stakeholders to ensure timely completion.
- Define and track benefits such as efficiency gains, risk reduction, and improved throughput.
- Prepare progress updates, analysis, and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
- Support technology, automation, workflow, and system improvement initiatives.
- Ensure process documentation supports governance, audit, compliance, and reporting requirements.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in Finance/Treasury Operations, process improvement, operational excellence, business transformation, or management consulting.
- Strong experience in process analysis, re-engineering, and documentation.
- Experience leading cross-functional process reviews and improvement initiatives.
- Solid stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Experience working with business and IT teams.
- Strong project planning, organization, and task management skills.
- Ability to analyze systems, data flows, automation opportunities, and technology solutions.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience with SQL and Power BI .
Preferred Skills
- Treasury or Finance Operations experience, particularly payments processing.
- Experience with process mapping tools.
- Project coordination or project management experience.
- Exposure to change management.
- Experience with ERP systems or Treasury platforms.
- Experience with workflow automation or system implementations.
- Experience with Jira, MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar tools.
- Accounting knowledge or experience.
