Responsibilities

- Safely operate Class 1 commercial trucks to transport freight to designated locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and load securement to ensure safety and compliance
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary, ensuring proper handling and documentation
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, shipping documents, and daily reports to track shipments and vehicle maintenance needs




- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to ensure vehicle reliability and safety during operations
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients to coordinate pickups and deliveries efficiently
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts safely for loading and unloading cargo when required

Qualifications

- Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in commercial driving and freight transportation
- Skilled in forklift operation with relevant certification preferred
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and basic automotive repair techniques
- Ability to perform detailed pre-trip inspections and routine maintenance tasks
- Solid communication skills with a focus on safety and customer service
- Ability to work independently while following company policies and procedures
