Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Class 1 Truck Driver to join our transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating heavy-duty trucks to transport freight to various customers in the Lower Mainland, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the highest safety standards. Your expertise in commercial driving, heavy equipment operation, and automotive repair will contribute to our commitment to efficient logistics and exceptional service.

Duties

- Safely operate Class 1 trucks to transport freight in the Lower Mainland, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and load security
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle logs in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards
- Perform minor automotive repairs and troubleshooting to address mechanical issues promptly and minimize downtime
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues that arise during transit
- Verify the accuracy of the load and ensure proper stacking and securing of freight prior to departure

Requirements

- Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record (Drivers Abstract will be required with application)




- Proven experience in commercial driving and heavy equipment operation
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshoot mechanical issues
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation and inspections
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards
- Experienced in deck work, as we run flat deck trailers exclusively
- Physical stamina to handle loading/unloading tasks and long hours on the road.
- Willingness to work Overtime if necessary. We pay an hourly wage, however the need for overtime to complete our runs is frequent, and unpredictable. An understanding of staying until the runs are completed is a prerequisite of employment with us.

Pay: $30.00-$36.00 per hour
