Responsibilities

- Safely operate Class 1 commercial trucks to transport freight to designated locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, including checking brakes, tires, lights, and fluid levels to ensure optimal performance
- Load and unload freight efficiently using forklift or heavy equipment when necessary, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, including delivery logs, inspection reports, and freight manifests
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients to coordinate schedules and resolve any delivery issues promptly




- Perform routine maintenance tasks or report mechanical issues to ensure vehicle reliability and safety
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts when required for loading or unloading freight

Experience

- Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in commercial driving and freight transportation
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation, including forklifts and other loading machinery
- Familiarity with automotive repair basics to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues
- Ability to handle freight securely using appropriate techniques and equipment
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and transportation regulations
