A Behaviour Interventionist implements behaviour plans, collects data and provides one-on-one support to children/youth with support needs, working under the supervision of a Behaviour Consultant or Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA)
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Use culturally protected, trauma-informed, relational, person and family-centered approaches. Maintain confidentiality of persons served information.
Carry out individualized behaviour plans of intervention (BPIs) developed by a Behaviour Consultant or BCBA.
Provide one-on-one support through play to children/youth to help them acquire specific skills. - Track and record data on target behaviours to monitor child/youth progress and inform necessary adjustments to intervention strategies.
Demonstrate specific skills and behavior management techniques to children/youth. Assist children/youth in planning and providing experiences in the home and community to support their growth and development.
Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, liaising with Behaviour Consultants, therapists (like SLPs, OTs, PTs), and other specialists to ensure comprehensive care.
Maintain organized records and document all interactions, progress, and incident reports. Job Type: Full time
Pay: $28.31-$31.84 per hour
