Functional AnalystOkanagan College hires its qualified candidates. Canadian residents and permanent residents receive priority consideration.ResponsibilitiesRegistrar’s Office Business Processes and SystemsUtilize systems as directed to meet the needs of college prospects, applicants, and students.Review and streamline business processes to improve workflow, quality control, demand response, and adaptability to changing priorities.Provide technical assistance on student systems and data to RO staff based on established guidelines.Support analysis of processes and assist in maintaining data models and procedures under established guidelines.Collaborate with RO staff, college employees at all levels, and public sector stakeholders on RO‑systems topics.Maintain data as instructed, ensuring adherence to established data integrity standards.Coordinate data maintenance activities to ensure integrity for college purposes and Central Data Warehouse reporting.Support development of operational procedures for RO departments, maximizing efficiencies and ensuring data integrity.Systems Support, Implementation, Enhancements and MaintenanceSupport the Associate Registrar to ensure reliability, connectivity, and efficiency of all RO systems.Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve problems related to business applications.Collaborate with the Associate Registrar, Systems, and ITS to provide functional support and direction for modifications and upgrades.Maintain and support online systems for applicants and students; manage content and controls for applications, registration, academic history, and communications.Analyze current systems and research, evaluate, recommend, and implement technical solutions to meet changing RO and institutional needs related to student information systems.Participate as a member or team leader of technical and design project teams for new systems or system upgrades, modifications, and/or enhancements that impact the RO.Work closely with ITS to provide functional support on system design, functionality,



and data requirements.Build test cases and scenarios to ensure system functionality; perform detailed testing for upgrades and enhancements.Participate in end‑to‑end user testing with all RO staff.Collaborate with ITS and IR as part of the Central Data Warehouse reporting.ReportingConsult with stakeholders as directed to provide direction and options for report design, confirm business process, and identify system or data limitations; determine need for multiple reports.Implement changes to reporting; develop and test reports to ensure adherence to requirements.Identify inaccurate data and coordinate data cleanup among RO departments.Assign security to control report access.Support design and development of operational and analytical reports for the RO; create ad‑hoc andcustom reports as required.Collaborate with the Dean, SEM, and Registrar to generate and present internal reports that guide SEM efforts.Support the Education Council Assistant in providing functional support for catalogue creation and modification.Recruitment and Admissions SupportAdminister all education planner functions, program setup, and intakes.Lead EPBC upgrades with Associate Registrars, Systems, and Enrolment Services and ITS.Update OC public website to ensure accurate program information between EPBC /website/Kuali.Operational and Other DutiesDevelop and maintain documentation and training materials for the RO and other college staff as appropriate, reflecting system changes that impact business processes.Provide guidance and training to RO staff on systems and processes.Perform audits of college access to student information systems; work with ARS to grant and rescind access as applicable.Collaborate with the Associate Registrar to evaluate requests for mass college communications; determine required approvals and ensure necessary processes are completed.Support online elections for the Board of Governors and Education Council.Participate on internal and external committees and teams.Undertake related duties as assigned, consistent with the grade of this position.QualificationsEducation and ExperienceA four‑year degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics,



or a related field is required.Two years of general experience plus four years of current, relevant experience working in a complex enterprise workplace, preferably related to student systems and data in an academic institution.Software and Computer Application SkillsComprehensive knowledge and experience with student information systems (Banner preferred).Excellent computer literacy including hardware, software, networking, SQL, etc.Expertise with databases, reporting tools, business applications and HTML (Argos, FAST Student).Proficiency in the use of online content management systems.Communication and Interpersonal SkillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills, including development of procedural and technical documentation.Effective individual and group communication and presentation skills.Administrative SkillsProven ability to problem‑solve, organize, prioritize and respond to tight deadlines and demanding workloads in a complex and rapidly changing environment.Other Skills and AbilitiesAdaptable to rapid changes in technology.High level of initiative with demonstrated experience working autonomously.Ability to work in a flexible, collaborative and team‑oriented environment.Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and customer service skills.Proven ability to work effectively with a wide variety of managers and staff at various organizational levels and capacities.Experience training staff in student‑related and business systems.Independently investigate, analyze, plan and make responsible decisions.Desired Start Date: 05/13/2026Position End Date (if temporary): 08/13/2026Schedule: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week.Annual Salary/Hourly Rate: $35.07 – $40.07 per hour.Okanagan College is committed to increasing the equitable and inclusive participation of marginalized people in all aspects of college life.
