Join Extendicare as an Activity Director, where you will foster meaningful engagement for residents through diverse recreational activities. This full time position prioritizes leadership, program development, and satisfaction for both residents and families. In this role, the Activity Director will ensure residents participate in various activities each month.

You'll lead a committed team, maintain budgets, and develop programs that significantly enhance the resident experience. A key focus is to engage and cultivate a team that embodies Extendicare’s mission of quality care for seniors. Key Responsibilities:
Ensure resident satisfaction through engaging activities
Organize multiple events per month for seniors




Lead and motivate staff and volunteers in the recreation department
Oversee the budget and monitor expenditures
Collaborate to implement resident-focused programs Requirements:
Post-secondary education in Recreation Therapy
At least one year of health care experience
Minimum two years’ experience in senior program planning
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Valid Vulnerable Sector Search performed within six months Guide enriching experiences for seniors and enhance community involvement at Extendicare.
