Job Overview

We are seeking a agile and skilled Turnaround Instrumentation Technician to join our maintenance team during scheduled plant shutdowns and turnaround periods. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining instrumentation systems that ensure the safe and efficient operation of manufacturing facilities. Your expertise will help minimize downtime, optimize process performance, and uphold safety standards.

Responsibilities

- Install, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair instrumentation equipment including sensors, control valves, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) during plant turnarounds.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and AutoCAD drawings to accurately execute maintenance tasks.
- Perform preventive maintenance on instrumentation systems to prevent failures and extend equipment lifespan.
- Test low voltage electrical systems and ensure compliance with safety standards across all instrumentation components.
- Assist with the integration of new automation systems and upgrades to existing control systems to improve manufacturing efficiency.
- Document all maintenance activities thoroughly in logs and reports,



ensuring traceability for future reference.
- Collaborate closely with electrical, mechanical, and process teams to coordinate activities during shutdowns while maintaining a strong focus on safety and customer service.

Experience

- Proven experience in industrial maintenance or as an industrial electrician within manufacturing environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience working with sensors, control systems, and automation equipment.
- Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), schematics, AutoCAD drawings, and sensor calibration procedures.
- Experience working with low voltage electrical systems and troubleshooting electrical issues efficiently.
- Knowledge of CNC machinery operation or maintenance is a plus but not required.
- Demonstrated ability to read technical schematics and wiring diagrams accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills coupled with a proactive attitude toward safety protocols and customer service standards.
