Procurement Advisor

Pay Rate: $52.63 - $60.87/hour, depending on experience

Contract Length: 1 year contract

Location: Calgary (5 days in office/week)

Raise is currently hiring a contract team member on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.

Description

Are you a Supply Chain or Commercial professional looking for a new challenge? Our clients SCM team is currently looking for an individual to support the Midstream Capital Project portfolio. In this role, you will be responsible for the sourcing and procurement lifecycle activities supporting capital projects across our clients Midstream assets.

Midstream plays a key role in our clients unique integrated model. Their Midstream Assets enable them to maximize the products we produce, transport in the most economical way and sell to the most profitable markets:

Connection between Oil Sand production in Fort McMurray Alberta to our Refineries

Access to all markets across Canada and the United States for our finished products

15 Terminals across Canada and US

Over 1700km of Pipelines in Canada and US

East Tank Farm and Ethanol Plant - production and storage

Transportation via Trucking, Rail and Marine

Access to global markets through our marine department

Crude exports & imports and product exports

Responsibilities

Manage the portfolio and actively participate in meetings to collate demand, evaluate business requirements, and identify optimization opportunities

Source, Procure and ensure timely delivery of material and services

Develop RFQ packages, bid evaluation and selection criteria, lead negotiations and form Purchase Orders for material and service commitments





Manage the Purchase Order process, including formation, change management, and close-out activities

Advise business stakeholders and support continuous improvement initiatives across all aspects of supply chain

Drive compliance with SCM policies, processes, procedures, and strategies

Qualifications

Minimum 6+ years of directly related qualified experience and/or a combination of commercial and technical work experience

A Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Economics, Engineering or equivalent

Experience in procurement, contract management, and/or strategic sourcing, with demonstrated capability in leading sourcing event, negotiation, and supplier performance management

Experience in successfully leading cross-functional or multi-disciplinary teams to develop and execute projects, initiatives, strategies, or other opportunities to drive outstanding results and value creation

Highly developed analytical and business acumen - solid business insight and commercial skills with a continuous improvement mindset and the capability to get results

Understanding of and business acumen with engineering & construction project processes, and of the interfaces and roles of a Project team

A strong understanding of contracting and commercial concepts and processes, along with strong negotiation skills





Strong collaboration skills and the ability to quickly build trust and respectful relationships with diverse groups

Advanced communication skills, both verbal and written

Alignment with our values of safety above all else, respect, raise the bar, commitments matter and do the right thing

Recognized professional designations and training (SCMP, PMP, Lean, Six-Sigma, etc.) is a preference

High proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, SAP, Livelink, and Tableau

Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset
