Become the Research Data Management Implementation Specialist at the University of Alberta, leading critical data initiatives. This hybrid role allows for a mix of work from home and essential on-campus collaboration at North Campus.
As a senior-level specialist, you will report to the Director of Research Ethics and Integrity. Your focus will be guiding the operational execution of the Institutional Research Data Management Strategy. You'll assess institutional needs and develop plans that uphold FAIR data principles while ensuring compliance with various mandates.
This role is pivotal in promoting excellence in research data handling.
Key Responsibilities:
Translate high-level RDM strategy into operational plans
Conduct needs assessments to identify gaps in RDM services
Develop engagement strategies with key stakeholders
Create and support an RDM Community of Practice
Track and report on RDM initiatives and compliance
Requirements:
Graduate degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
Comprehensive understanding of FAIR and Indigenous Data Sovereignty
Demonstrated leadership in project management
Solid written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity with remote collaboration tools like MS Office
Lead the advancement of responsible research data management practices at the University of Alberta.
