We are a growing local CPA firm based in Ontario, providing accounting, tax, bookkeeping, and advisory services to small businesses and individuals across various industries. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Staff Accountant to join our team-oriented team.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review T1 and T2 tax returns
Prepare year-end working papers and financial statements
Oversee payroll functions for small business clients
Manage client engagements and track work-in-progress (WIP)
Build and maintain solid client relationships by providing timely support and collecting necessary documentation and information
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
3–5 years of recent Canadian public practice experience, with a strong focus on personal and corporate tax
Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, CaseWare, and Profile
Robust analytical skills with high attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple engagements
Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration
