We are looking for a Payroll Administrator to join our team in Ontario on a contract basis. In this role, you will oversee weekly payroll activities for a mixed employee population, ensuring pay is processed accurately, on schedule, and in line with legislative and organizational requirements.

This position is well suited to someone who is highly organized, attentive to detail, and confident managing payroll records, calculations, and employee inquiries in a rapid-paced setting.

Responsibilities:
Administer weekly payroll for permanent and part-time employees using People Soft, ensuring each pay cycle is completed accurately and on time.
Review submitted time records through the time and attendance system, confirm accuracy, and follow up on exceptions before payroll is finalized.




Audit payroll information for completeness and compliance with internal guidelines as well as applicable payroll legislation.
Research and correct payroll issues such as missed hours, entry errors, deductions, and other pay-related discrepancies.
Calculate payroll components including overtime, vacation pay, statutory holiday pay, benefit changes, and other required adjustments.
Maintain up-to-date employee payroll files while protecting confidential information and handling sensitive data with discretion.
Address payroll questions from employees, managers, and internal partners by providing transparent and timely support.
Prepare payroll reports, assist with reconciliations, and contribute to year-end payroll activities including tax-related documentation.
