Who Are You?
Reporting to the General Foreman, the Welder means being part of the team that brings it all together. Your pride in your ability to present high-quality artisanship will be recognized, as each attachment is custom designed. Every day can be a day for learning something new and for sharing your own knowledge and techniques with your teammates.
What Will You Do?
Work with heavy plate steel
Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications
Follow directions given in layouts, drawings and work orders
Welding of various heavy equipment attachments and components utilizing MCAW and FCAW
Use of overhead cranes
Maintain a clean, orderly and protected work environment at all times
Ensure workmanship throughout the manufacturing process and on finished goods meets or exceeds the cost, quality and schedule expectations of all customers
Active participation in the WBM safety program, ensuring that workplace safety exists at all time
Adhere to quality control standards and procedures
Maintain a clean, orderly and safe work environment at all times
Other duties as required
A minimum of three (3) years of related experience in the 1/16 metal core and 3/32 flux core is essential to this position.
Overhead crane experience is required
Forklift experience is an asset
Specific experience in a heavy steel fabrication/machining/assembly environment is considered desirable
