Our public sector client is seeking a Senior Software Developer (Backend) (10+ years) to design and enhance enterprise-scale applications using .NET, C#, REST APIs, and SQL Server/DB2 .

Join a large-scale enterprise environment delivering business-critical backend systems and modernization initiatives. This role focuses on backend application development, data architecture, database design, REST APIs, enterprise integrations, and full SDLC delivery using up-to-date .NET technologies. The successful candidate will contribute to complex enterprise solutions while supporting existing applications and delivering new capabilities across interconnected systems. The position offers significant involvement in technical design, performance optimization, troubleshooting, and end-to-end solution delivery.

12 month Contract, high chance of extension, Vancouver, Hybrid 3 days per week, Working Hours: PST

Must Haves

10+ years designing and supporting enterprise software solutions using .NET , C# , .NET Core , and ASP.NET

Extensive experience with backend application development , enterprise application integration , REST APIs , and web services

Expertise in data architecture , data modeling , database design , SQL Server , and DB2

Extensive experience with N-tier architecture , service-oriented architecture ,



UML , system design patterns , and enterprise architecture

Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Nice to Have

Automated testing experience

Test-Driven Development (TDD)

Quality assurance practices

Experience working with third-party vendors and external partners

Experience mentoring and supporting development teams

Responsibilities

Design, develop, enhance, support, and maintain enterprise-scale backend applications using .NET/C# technologies

Support and modernize existing .NET applications while developing new enterprise solutions

Design and implement scalable, secure, maintainable, and high-performing application architectures

Develop logical and physical data models supporting complex business processes

Develop and maintain APIs, web services, and integrations with internal and external systems

Perform performance tuning, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of complex application and database issues

Support the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and production support
