Join the University of British Columbia as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Ophthalmology. Lead research on the molecular mechanisms of ocular and neurodegenerative diseases within a collaborative environment.

This position under Dr. Neeru Gupta’s supervision allows you to contribute to cutting-edge research projects while utilizing advanced techniques in molecular and cellular biology. You’ll gain hands-on experience with human samples and animal models, facilitating your development in your academic or industry career.

Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and execute independent research projects
• Conduct molecular, cellular, and immunological experiments
• Analyze experimental data thoroughly




• Prepare studies for publication; aid in grant proposals
• Guide and mentor students and research assistants

Requirements:
• PhD in Molecular Biology or similar discipline
• Proven research experience and productivity
• Strong organizational and communication abilities
• Capability to thrive in a collaborative research setting
• Knowledge of stem cell research and advanced imaging is a plus
