Troubleshoot and perform maintenance in HVAC systems.
Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and related tasks for HVAC and plumbing equipment in school division facilities, ensuring compliance with regulations and maintaining a protected, clean, and orderly environment.
Work on projects identified by Managers or Supervisors requiring the services of skilled craftsperson(s).
Perform various maintenance and repair tasks on building systems.
Inspect and ensure the safe operation of equipment, making adjustments, calibrations, replacements, rebuilds, and repairs as necessary.
Assist in obtaining quotes and arranging services from external vendors.
Obtain estimates for supplies and repair parts and order them as needed.
Monitor maintenance schedules to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Maintain records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
Perform other assigned job-related duties.
Journeyman Class A Gasfitter certification is required.
Certification in plumbing is an asset.
Experience with building management systems is preferred.
Experience in commercial or school facility maintenance is preferred.
Strong interpersonal, communication and time management skills.
Valid class 5 driver’s license is required.
8-hour days, 5 days per week. Weekends off with some availability for emergency callouts if required.
Overtime available when necessary, taken as in lieu time or payment form.
Company vehicle and gas card supplied for work duties and emergency callouts.
