Compounding anddispensing medications, as prescribed byphysicians

Serves patients bypreparing medications, giving pharmacological information to themultidisciplinary health care team, and monitoring patient drugtherapies

Review and executephysician's prescriptions checking their appropriateness andlegality

Monitoring customers'drug therapies, advising interventions, and informing customersof any potential side effects

Organize the pharmacyin an efficient manner to make the identification of productseasier and faster

Prepares medicationsby reviewing and interpreting physician orders anddetecting therapeutic incompatibilities

Providingimmunizations, and other medical services, such as taking bloodpressure, temperature measurements, and checking blood sugarlevels

Completes pharmacyoperational requirements by organizing and directingtechnicians' workflow, verifying their preparation and labelingof pharmaceuticals, and verifying order entries, charges, andinspections

Ensuringthepharmacy complieswith all local, state, and federalregulations

Ensuring a safe andclean working environment

Conducting health andwellness screenings





Maintains protected andclean working environment by complying with procedures, rules,and regulations

Adhering toapplicable legal rules, regulations, and proceduresgoverning pharmaceutical practice

Requirements

Bachelor's degreein pharmacy or pharmacology

Thoroughunderstanding of dosage administration and measurement,chemical compounds, medical brands etc

Valid statepharmacist license (or must meet education requirement(s)for state licensure)

Excellentcommunication skills with a customer orientedapproach

The ability tounderstand customers, medical staff, and coworkers

Detailedunderstanding and knowledge of dosage requirements andadministration, chemical compounds, and pharmaceuticalbrands

The ability tosolveproblems and weigh the merits of different possiblesolutions

Working knowledge ofMicrosoft Office Suite and software applications, used bypharmacies, such as MEDITECH and Mediware

Great organizational skills
