As the Associate Vice President at the Safety Codes Council, you will lead the policy and engagement function while supporting public policy objectives. This full time position requires the ability to convert complex legislation into actionable policy advice and stakeholder engagement strategies. Your expertise in public policy development and engagement will be crucial in enhancing public safety and system value for Albertans.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the internal policy stewardship function and governance policies
• Provide expert policy advice to senior decision-makers
• Analyze emerging safety system issues through evidence-based research
• Design and lead stakeholder engagement processes
• Foster a supportive team environment for growth and accountability
Requirements:
• University degree in related fields or equivalent leadership experience
• Senior-level experience in public policy development and engagement
• Strong judgment and relationship skills for translating complexity
• Digital fluency in Microsoft 365 and collaboration tools
• Proven ability to lead and coach diverse teams
