We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring, and collaborative Multimodal Transportation Planner/Engineer who thrives on providing cutting-edge mobility solutions. Based out of our Burnaby, BC office, you’ll be working on a variety of multimodal planning projects for clients across North America. We are seeking passionate professional planners and engineers with between 10 and 15 years of experience, and we will tailor the position to suit your skill set, experience, and career objectives. You’ll be working in a hybrid (office/home) setting, with the expectation to travel for select client meetings.
Key Responsibilities Lead and support multi-modal transportation network and corridor planning, and feasibility studies.
Lead or support coordination on multidisciplinary projects with internal project teams and external interested holders and agencies.
Prepare and review technical reports, planning documents,



and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Support public consultation and engagement efforts and represent the organization in community and stakeholder meetings.
Mentor junior staff, foster professional growth and leadership, and contribute to knowledge sharing across the planning and engineering teams.
Contribute to business development, proposal writing, and client relationship management.
Represent Jacobs at industry events and conferences.
Here’s what you’ll need Degree in Planning with a Transportation focus
Professional Planner (or ability to secure such designations within 6 months)
More than 10 years of work experience in transportation (public or private)
Proven experience with transportation master plans, multimodal network and corridor planning & conceptual design
Proficiency in GIS
Expertise in stakeholder engagement
Experience in leading/supporting business development and proposals
The base salary range for this position is $110,000.00 to $143,000.00. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across British Columbia, Canada locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
