The Opportunity Northern Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join the Fort St. John Primary Care team. This Full time position offers flexibility and the chance to provide longitudinal primary care to patients of all ages. The NP will attach a patient panel and contribute to a collaborative, culturally safe care environment supported by physicians, other nurse practitioners, primary care assistants, and an interprofessional team.
Key Responsibilities Deliver longitudinal primary care to a diverse patient population.
Use Electronic Medical Record (EMR) for documentation and care coordination.
Collaborate with a supportive team of physicians, nurse practitioners, and allied health professionals.
Participate in team-based care and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills Eligible for registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a Nurse Practitioner.
Experience In Primary Care Across The Lifespan. Solid clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Commitment to culturally safe and trauma-informed care.
About The Clinic The Fort St John Primary care facility located in Fort St. John.
The clinic has a team of family physicians and MOAs and shares its location with other clinics where Nurse Practitioners work. Northern Health’s approach to person and family-centered care involves creating health care teams, which include your doctor or nurse practitioner and other health care professionals, to provide a range of health care services. The quality-of-care increases by providing continuity of care over time and across settings and will result in better long-term health outcomes.
Salary Range New Graduate NP - $149,382
1 Year Experience - $156,851
2 Years Experience - $164,320
