Empower at-risk youth as an Overnight Housing Support Worker with Threshold Housing Society. This part-time position provides essential support and secure housing for young adults in need.
As the primary overnight contact, you will assist youth navigating their challenges and help them focus on personal goals for the next day. This role is vital in providing a supportive team environment where holistic approaches are implemented, and individual needs in mental health, life skills, and community support are addressed.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as the primary contact for youth overnight
• Support youth in managing stressors and crises
• Help youth work towards personal goals
• Collaborate within a wraparound care team
• Facilitate programming and community support initiatives
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or Child & Youth Care
• 1-2 years' experience with vulnerable populations
• ASIST and NVCI training preferred
• Emergency First Aid and Food Safe Certificate
• Valid Criminal Record Check
