Lead the Wholesale Rating Methodologies team as Associate Director at RBC in Toronto. Focus on improving Risk Criteria Papers and integrating cutting-edge data analysis techniques.

As an Associate Director in Commercial & Wholesale Credit Risk, your role involves maintaining and updating Risk Criteria Papers critical for assigning credit ratings. You’ll serve as a subject matter expert on Loss Given Default (LGD) policies, conducting in-depth data analysis and research to ensure optimal performance of credit rating methodologies. This position emphasizes cross-functional collaboration and innovation in enhancing risk management and reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities:
• Independently analyze and improve Risk Criteria Papers
• Manage documentation and team-oriented development of RCPs




• Support IT in defining requirements for RCP systems
• Act as EMRM contact for findings related to criteria
• Develop tools for risk rating and adjudication workflows

Requirements:
• At least 5 years in credit or finance experience
• Graduate degree in relevant quantitative discipline
• Solid knowledge of SQL, Excel, and Python
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Highly developed analytical and modeling capabilities
