Líl̓wat Business Group continues to expand its construction, development, property management, and partnership activities. As the Construction Workforce & Cultural Safety Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the workforce is ready to support that growth.

From workforce planning and development to cultural safety and employee participation, you will help create opportunities for workers while ensuring projects have the skilled people they need to succeed.

Working across businesses, projects, and partnerships, you'll help strengthen workforce capacity, support employee development, and help create workplaces where people feel respected, supported, and ready to do their best work.

Summary of Duties
The Construction Workforce & Cultural Safety Manageris responsible for planning, coordinating,deploying, and developing the workforce required to support the activities ofLíl’wat Development Services, Líl’wat Construction Enterprises, propertymanagement operations, and associated joint venture activities.

This role maintains visibility ofworkforce capacity, availability, qualifications, certifications, andreadiness, ensuring workers are effectively assigned to current work andpositioned to support future opportunities. The role works closely with managers,supervisors, contractors, joint venture partners, and community organizationsto ensure workforce resources are aligned with operational requirements.

The ConstructionWorkforce & Cultural Safety Manager supports workforce participation anddevelopment while promoting culturally safe, respectful, and productiveworkplaces consistent with Líl’wat values and expectations.

Key Deliverables and Expectations

Maintains visibility of workforce capacity,availability, certifications,



qualifications, and workforce readiness.

Coordinates deployment of workers acrossconstruction, development, property management, and partnershipactivities.

Ensures employees are assigned appropriately based onskills, experience, certifications, project requirements, andavailability.

Maintains awareness of current and upcoming projects,opportunities, schedules, and labour requirements.

Works with managers and supervisors to identifyworkforce requirements and resource needs.

Develops workforce plans to support current andfuture operational requirements.

Identifies workforce shortages, certificationrequirements, training needs, and succession risks.

Ensures employees possess the certifications,training, and qualifications required to perform assigned work.

Coordinates apprenticeship, training, mentorship, andworkforce development opportunities.

Supports employee growth and progression intoincreasingly skilled and responsible positions.

Maintains relationships with contractors,subcontractors, joint venture partners, training providers, St̓át̓imc organizations, andcommunity partners.

Supports employment, training, and workforcedevelopment pathways through collaboration with partner organizations.

Promotes culturally safe, respectful, and productiveworkplaces.

Assists in identifying and resolving workplaceconcerns and cultural misunderstandings before they escalated.

Supports effective participation of workers acrossinternal operations, partner organizations, and joint venture activities.

Tracks workforce participation,



certifications,training activities, and workforce development outcomes.

Provides workforce planning and workforce capacityinformation to leadership.

Assists in the development of policies and programsrelated to workforce planning, workforce development, and cultural safety.

Supervises assigned employees, trainees, apprentices,and workforce support positions.

Performs other duties as requested.

Experience and Attributes

Five to ten (5-10) years of experience inconstruction operations, workforce planning, workforce coordination,Indigenous employment initiatives, community development, or relatedfields.

Robust understanding of construction workforcerequirements and project environments.

Experience coordinating labour deployment, workforceplanning, scheduling, or workforce development activities.

Experience working across multiple projects, crews,or operational environments.

Knowledge of St̓át̓imccommunities, organizations, and employment opportunities is an asset.

Strong organizational skills with the ability tomanage competing workforce demands and changing priorities.

Strong interpersonal and relationship-buildingskills.

Ability to build productive relationships withemployees, managers, contractors, community members, and partnerorganizations.

Strong communication, facilitation, and conflictresolution skills.

Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintainconfidentiality.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, andExcel.

Ability to work independently and as an integralmember of various teams.

Highly professional in all aspects of business,presentation, and interaction with clients, Members, partners, andemployees.

Motivated self-starter with strong interpersonalskills.

Ability to work flexible hours and travel as requiredfor the position.

Class 5 Driver's license an asset
