Unpack productsreceived by store and count, weigh or sortitems
Keeping a record ofsales and restocking the store accordingly
Maintain receipts,records, and withdrawals of the stockroom
Use barcode scanningequipment to record incoming stock, verify pricing and maintaincomputerized stock inventory
Planning promotionalcampaigns for current products or specials
Inspect deliveriesfor damage or discrepancies; report those to accountingfor reimbursements and record keeping
May operate cashregister and computer for electronic commercetransactions
Mediating anyconfrontations between staff and clients, and de-escalating thesituation
Rotate stock andcoordinate the disposal of surpluses
Requirements
A high schoolqualification or equivalent
Knowledge of properbookkeeping and inventory management
Prior experience inretail, preferably in a management position, would beadvantageous
Atleast 2 years ofexperience in storekeeping,
inventory control, orrecordkeeping
Ability to safely andlegally operate a forklift
Physical ability tofrequently lift and carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds,and occasionally up to 50 lbs
Well-presented andprofessional
Required Years of experience: Atleast 2 years ofexperience
Salary: $23.00 - $31.00 perhour
