Overview BW Gold is a wholly owned subsidiary of Artemis Gold Inc (“Artemis”). Artemis Gold is a well-financed, growth-oriented gold development company with strong financials aimed at creating shareholder value through the identification, acquisition, and development of gold properties in mining friendly jurisdictions. The Company's current focus is the Blackwater Mine in central British Columbia approximately 160km southwest of Prince George and 450km northeast of Vancouver. Reporting to the Superintendent - Camp & Travel, the Coordinator - Camp & Travel is responsible for coordination of travel arrangements and camp accommodations for Capital Projects staff and contractors on the Blackwater mine as well as ensuring site authorization and supporting all departments with catering.
Location: Blackwater Mine
Schedule: Two Weeks On/Two Weeks Off
Employment Type: Fixed Term
End Date: December 2028
Responsibilities Facilitate the safe and timely arrival and departure of employees and contractors on all travel days
Work closely with all Camp & Travel service providers to provide a high level of service to camp residents
Work closely with custodial contractor, security, safety, and department leads to ensure Camp requirements are met or exceeded
Ensuring that Site Authorization and Drug & Alcohol Clearance documentation is obtained prior to site entry
Communicate travel updates and changes in a timely manner
Manage the implementation and training of a camp and travel management system
Support custodial company with room reservations and changes as needed
Update the management team on camp capacity and travel concerns as required
Maintain a high level of service, discretion, and continuity to ensure the protected & timely operation of travel days
Assist with room and camp issues
Order Camp supplies when needed
Create relevant documentations for all Camp & Travel related activities
Assist with all Gym related inquiries
Support departments with catering, cleaning, or any camp and travel related request
Undertake camp audits with custodial contractor for all areas of camp
Willing to assist and support all Camp related activities for clients
Qualifications Camp management experience with a good understanding of day-to day camp operations
Knowledge of kitchen operations is an asset
Exceptional oral and written communications skills
Must have a valid driver's license with clean drivers abstract
Advanced Food Safety certification
Administrative skills, training experience are required
Well developed Office computer skills and experience; including Word, Excel and Adobe
Experience with MS Teams and SharePoint systems,
and experience to learn new computer software programs are desired
Must be able to work with minimal supervision once familiar with requirements
Must have a positive, outgoing, and approachable personality
Work well under pressure and with time restrains
Experience working in a camp environment and on a two-week in and out rotation is an asset
Organization skills and attention to detail are required
Demonstrated Proven planning, problem-solving and time management skills
Demonstrated verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Self-starter and self-directed individual who can work well independently and within a team.
Comfortable working and living in close quarters with the team
Ability to maintain high levels of performance over 12-hour shift, with flexibility to respond to urgent matters outside of normal hours of work
