Join North Eastern Ontario Family and Children’s Services as an Investigation and Assessment Worker, focusing on providing comprehensive children's services in Kirkland Lake, Ontario. Engage in child protection, risk assessment, and plan development while maintaining flexible work hours.
This full time, twelve-month contract role involves delivering a wide variety of preventative services to children and families. You will assess risks, create protection plans, and ensure all documentation aligns with legislative requirements. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential as you will collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide preventative and child protection services
• Conduct thorough risk assessments for families
• Develop and document protection plans effectively
• Interpret and apply relevant legislative requirements
• Maintain flexible scheduling and travel as needed
Requirements:
• MSW or BSW preferred, other relevant degrees considered
• Experience with children, youth, and families is an asset
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Minimum G2 driver’s license required
• Bilingualism in English and French is an advantage
