Associate Veterinarian

Petsville Animal Hospital is looking for an experienced, compassionate, and confident Associate Veterinarian to join our growing team.

We are seeking a veterinarian who is confident in diagnostics, internal medicine, preventive care, and surgery, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Our hospital serves a diverse, multicultural community, including a significant senior population. Compassion, patience, empathy, and excellent client communication are extremely important to us.

Responsibilities

Comprehensive wellness and preventive care

Medical and chronic disease management

Diagnostic workups and interpretation of laboratory and imaging results

Routine soft-tissue surgery and dentistry

Anesthesia and perioperative patient care

Pain management and geriatric medicine

Urgent and emergency case assessment

Client education and individualized treatment planning

Accurate medical records and high standards of patient care

Exotic animal experience or interest is an asset.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of clinical veterinary experience required

DVM/VMD or equivalent and eligibility to practice in British Columbia

Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills

Confidence with routine surgery and anesthesia

Excellent communication and client-service skills

Compassionate approach toward animals and their families

Comfortable working with senior clients and a multicultural community





Strong teamwork and team-building abilities

Professional, reliable, and committed to continuous learning

Language Skills

Mandarin- and Cantonese-speaking candidates will be given priority consideration.

Candidates should also be comfortable communicating and working within a multicultural client base and diverse veterinary team.
