We are seeking a friendly and organized Veterinary Receptionist to join our veterinary team. This vital role involves providing excellent customer service, managing appointment scheduling, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a compassionate attitude towards animals and pet owners, and experience in a veterinary setting.
Responsibilities
- Greet clients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out procedures
- Schedule appointments and manage the clinic’s calendar efficiently
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide accurate information about services
- Maintain detailed and organized patient records in compliance with privacy standards
- Process payments and handle billing procedures accurately
- Support veterinary staff with administrative tasks as needed
- Assist in laboratory procedures when necessary, utilizing laboratory experience to support diagnostics
- Ensure the reception area remains clean, welcoming,
and well-stocked with supplies
Requirements
- Prior experience in a veterinary or healthcare reception role is preferred
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients and team members
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced workplace
- Compassionate attitude towards animals and pet owners
- Ability to work well as part of a team and independently when required
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications related to veterinary practice are advantageous
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
