At the Veterinary Rehabilitation Centre of North Durham, we're building a rehabilitation service focused on helping pets move better, recover stronger, and enjoy a higher quality of life.
We're looking for a Veterinary Rehabilitation Therapist who wants to be part of a collaborative, patient-focused team where relationships, compassionate care, and lifelong learning matter.
This role will initially focus on supporting our existing Friday rehabilitation appointments, with the opportunity to expand into additional days, including Saturdays and select evening appointments, as demand grows.

What You'll Do
- Perform rehabilitation assessments and patient evaluations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Deliver rehabilitation therapies and therapeutic exercise programs
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as appropriate
- Educate and coach pet owners to support success at home
- Collaborate closely with veterinarians, RVTs, and support staff
- Maintain accurate medical records and treatment plans
- Contribute ideas that help strengthen and grow our rehabilitation services
- Help create a positive experience for both patients and their families

Qualifications To be considered, applicants should meet one of the following:
- Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) with rehabilitation certification
- Veterinarian (DVM) with rehabilitation training or certification
- Registered Physiotherapist with animal rehabilitation training or certification
- Currently pursuing a recognized rehabilitation certification or designation
Bonus Points If You Have
- Previous experience in veterinary rehabilitation
- Experience developing therapeutic exercise plans
- Laser therapy experience
- Underwater treadmill experience
- Fear Free certification or related training
- A passion for educating and coaching pet owners

Compensation
$26.00-$31.00 per hour
Compensation is based on professional designation, rehabilitation training/certification, experience, and scope of practice.
Applications from RVTs, Physiotherapists, and DVMs with rehabilitation training are welcome. Compensation will be determined based on credentials, experience, and role responsibilities.

Expected Hours: Initially Friday-based appointments, with opportunities for additional weekday, evening, and Saturday hours as demand grows. Flexible based on patient caseload and service needs.
Pay: $26.00-$31.00 per hour
