GlassRatner Executive Search is partnering with eTracks Tire Management Systems (eTracks) to appoint its next Vice President, Finance.
eTracks is a leading Producer Responsibility Organization (PRO) responsible for managing tire recycling programs on behalf of tire producers across Ontario. Established in 2017 under the Canada Not-for-Profit Corporations Act, the company was created by the Tire and Rubber Association of Canada (TRAC) to support compliance with Ontario's Resource Recovery and Circular Economy Act (RRCEA).
Today, eTracks plays a critical role in advancing Ontario's circular economy by overseeing the collection, transportation, and recycling of used tires through a network of service providers. As a mission-driven organization, eTracks combines the purpose of a not-for-profit with the complexity and scale of a commercial enterprise.
As the organization enters its next phase of transformation, eTracks is seeking a strategic, forward-thinking Vice President, Finance to join its Senior Leadership Team.
The Mandate The Vice President, Finance will serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and Senior Leadership Team, ensuring the organization has the financial insight, discipline, and operational support necessary to achieve its long-term objectives. Building on a strong financial foundation, the VP, Finance will help drive organizational performance, strengthen decision-making through data and analytics, support key strategic initiatives, and enhance overall business effectiveness.
This role is ideal for a finance leader who combines financial rigour with commercial acumen, an operational mindset, and the ability to navigate a complex stakeholder community in a highly regulated industry.
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Vice President, Finance will serve as the organization's senior financial leader and a trusted advisor on strategic, operational, and financial matters. This role offers the opportunity to contribute well beyond traditional finance leadership, helping shape organizational strategy, evaluate business opportunities, support long term growth initiatives, and improve overall organizational performance.
The successful candidate will work closely with the CEO, Board of Directors, and Finance, Audit and Investment Committee (FAIC), providing financial leadership, business insight, and sound judgment across the organization.
The VP, Finance will oversee all aspects of financial management, including financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, treasury, risk management, governance, and compliance. They will play a key role in enhancing management reporting and business intelligence capabilities, supporting technology and systems initiatives, and driving continuous improvement across financial and operational processes. In addition, the VP, Finance will lead and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance.
To be considered for the role, you will possess the following:
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline
- CPA designation required
- 10 years of experience in senior-level finance or accounting leadership roles
- Track record as the senior finance executive within a small-to-mid-sized organization, both in a hands-on and strategic capacity
- Experience from supply chain and logistics industry, waste management, environmental services or process manufacturing ideal
- Experience operating within regulated environments highly preferred
- Demonstrated success partnering directly with a CEO and Board of Directors
- Team management and leadership, coaching, developing and mentoring a high performing team
- Deep expertise in financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, reporting, internal controls, and business analysis
- Experience leading ERP implementations, systems optimization initiatives, technology-enabled transformations, or major change projects enterprise-wide
- Exceptional levels of integrity, diplomacy, strong negotiation skills, accountability and delivery mindset
