Shape the future of residence dining at UBC as an Executive Chef. Drive menu innovation, optimize food quality, and foster team development in a energetic environment.

As the Executive Chef for Residence Dining at UBC Food Services, you will work closely with the Executive Chef & Culinary Director to transform the culinary experience for students. This leadership position requires a commitment to sustainability and quality, alongside managing culinary teams and kitchen operations. You’ll significantly impact food service through training and mentoring.

Key Responsibilities:
• Create and enhance residence dining menu offerings
• Direct culinary staff training and development initiatives
• Monitor compliance with food safety and quality standards




• Assist in financial oversight and budget management
• Conduct inspections for quality assurance in food preparation

Requirements:
• Certified cooking program completion and apprenticeship
• 8-10 years experience in commercial cooking
• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Ability to manage teams and foster culinary excellence
• Effective communication skills with culinary staff
