Northern Strands Regina is growing, and we're on the lookout for a passionate, detail-driven Warehouse Supervisor, whose primary responsibility is overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse while also performing manufacturing and production-related tasks. The position ensures that assigned tasks are completed in a safe and efficient manner through direct supervision, mentoring, delegation, and monitoring of employee duties. What You’ll Be Doing Day-to-day Workflow Management
Direct and coordinate activities of the warehouse team by preparing work schedule and assigning specific duties
Ensure warehouse, shipping containers, and other storage areas are maintained in a clean and orderly fashion
Ensure use of remnants (wire rope, synthetic rope, and chain) throughout the warehouse
Collaborate with Inside Sales to identify, implement, and maintain processes that increase the efficient completion of sales, purchases, and restocking transactions
Monitor shipping/receiving desk to ensure no outstanding orders in shipping/receiving area
Team Leadership
Provide supervision, mentorship, and coaching to warehouse team members
Lead daily toolbox talk and safety meetings




Responsible for training other Riggers and ensuring they adhere to quality control procedures
Hold team members accountable for their responsibilities
Prepare and submit payroll timesheets as per cutoff dates
Monitor training and development for all warehouse team members
Identify opportunities for team members to expand their knowledge and skills to further employee development
General Warehouse Duties
Conduct chain inspections
Install wire lock and spelter socketing, ensuring proper fit, secure attachment, and compliance with applicable standards
Making lift assemblies (bridle sling, etc.)
Calibrating all sleeves and stops and making sure dimensions are correct after pressing and before ID
Operate equipment and machinery, including forklift, oxy torch, press, spooler, etc.
Ensure regular maintenance is conducted on equipment including lubrication
Ensure all dies are in proper condition
Maintain and update benchmarking sheets on a regular basis
Verify product quality before it is sent out to customers and work sites
Ensure that the sling bay and tools are kept clean and that all tools are stored in proper locations
Keep all reel racks full and with proper wire rope
Ensure all work orders are completed properly and in a timely manner
Sales
Coordinate warehouse activities and keep ongoing communication with the Inside Sales to ensure orders are processed in a timely manner
Monitor all orders to ensure timely processing, accurate packaging, and correct labelling as per company standards and branding
Inventory
Ensuring adequate stock and supplies are available to use
Update and maintain inventory maps of the yard, sea cans, and cold storage buildings
Ensure all reels are tagged appropriately
Maintain adequate levels of reels and paint for making reels
Monitor adequate levels of shop supplies, tools, coveralls, and safety/PPE equipment
Prepare workorders for repairs and requisitions for replacement of equipment
Ensure the various showroom displays, racking, and drawers are maintained and restocked regularly
Collaborate with departmental management to complete year end and cycle counts
Other Supervisory Duties




Consistently deliver on Warehouse General Labourer responsibilities while successfully carrying out Warehouse Supervisor duties to support efficient daily operations
Assist with shipping and receiving duties as necessary
Participate in warehouse-related incident investigations and suggest corrective actions
Identify and promote continual improvement opportunities
What You Bring To The Table Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent
Minimum 2-3 years of supervisory role or experience leading a team
Experience in production supervision in an industrial manufacturing environment is preferred
Strong understanding of shipping, receiving, inventory control, and order picking processes
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate others
Solid organizational skills with attention to detail
Robust time-management skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to handle competing priorities simultaneously; work well under pressure with time-sensitive deadlines
Strong problem identification and resolution skills
Strong ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
Possess a positive and professional attitude, set a high standard, and convey professionalism at all times
Any valid safety-related training certificates would be considered an asset (i.e., WHMIS, forklift, fall protection, etc.)
Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities
