Audit Manager - Private Company (BH-285591)
Location British Columbia, Canada Sector Accountancy Salary 100,000.00 CAD to 120,000.00 CAD per annum Advantages Healthcare, Dental
Our client, an established public accounting firm in Vancouver, is looking to add an Audit Manager to its team.
The Role
Manage and review audit, review, compilation, and tax engagements
Lead files from planning through completion and ensure deadlines are met
Apply strong knowledge of ASPE across client engagements
Work with IFRS and ASNPO engagements where applicable
Review personal, trust, and corporate tax returns, along with GST, T4, and T5 filings
Identify and resolve accounting and tax issues in collaboration with Senior Managers and Partners
Manage client relationships and respond to accounting, tax, and financial reporting questions
Delegate work effectively across staff levels
Review staff work and provide ongoing coaching and technical guidance
Mentor Senior Accountants and junior team members
Manage multiple competing deadlines and client expectations
Support business development and relationship-building initiatives
What You Bring
CPA designation
Minimum 1 year of Manager-level public practice experience
Strong ASPE experience
Experience independently managing audit and assurance engagements
Strong understanding of Canadian accounting standards
Experience reviewing and mentoring staff
Strong client relationship and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines independently
Nice to Have
IFRS experience
At least one Canadian tax season with working knowledge of Canadian taxation
Experience with personal, corporate, and trust tax returns
Experience with CaseWare, CaseView, TaxPrep, and Microsoft Office
ASNPO experience
