Become a TEFL Methodology Instructor for the Student Teaching in English Program at the Official Languages and Bilingualism Institute (OLBI) at the University of Ottawa. This in-person role is pivotal in training undergraduate students effectively.
In this part time position, you will lead the TEFL Methodology stream for the ESL 160 course for students from Universidad del Atlántico. Collaborating with fellow instructors is crucial for curriculum alignment and student success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead TEFL Methodology sessions for ESL 160
• Design engaging and student-centered learning experiences
• Integrate digital tools and evaluate student assignments
• Support micro-teaching and peer feedback processes
• Collaborate with teaching assistants for curriculum coherence
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in second language teaching or TESL
• Two years of ESL teaching experience at college level
• Previous experience with ESL course instruction
• Experience in team teaching is preferred
• TESL Certification or equivalent required
