The MIABC is hiring a Legal Counsel for a one-year contract to join its legal team. This role involves handling all facets of litigation, from investigations to trials, and ensuring effective communication with members and experts. Key Responsibilities:
• Gather and evaluate evidence during claim investigations
• Advise and communicate with adjusters and members
• Draft legal documents, reports, and opinions
• Conduct trials and negotiate settlements
• Facilitate educational sessions on legal topics for members

Requirements:
• 3-7 years of experience in litigation
• Eligible to practice law in British Columbia
• Excellent attention to detail and communication abilities
• Commitment to client service and teamwork
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 tools
