NOIC ACADEMY is seeking a dedicated and passionate Biology/ Chemistry Teacher to join our high school faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and rigorous instruction in Biology and/or Chemistry to students in Grades 11&12, preparing students for academic success and scientific literacy, while fostering a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities Plan, develop, and deliver effective biology and/or chemistry lessons in alignment with the Ontario curriculum standards
Incorporate laboratory activities, experiments, and inquiry-based learning to support hands-on understanding.
Assess, evaluate, and report on student progress using a variety of assessment tools.
Maintain classroom discipline and a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning setting.
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of students.




Integrate technology and digital tools to enhance student learning and collaboration
Participate in school activities, staff meetings, mentor-teacher conferences, and professional development.
Collaborate with the Admission Department to assign new students to mentors.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in biology, Chemistry, Science Education, or a related field.
Teacher Certification in Ontario (OCT) and experience teaching in an IB programme is considered an asset
Minimum 2 years of experience teaching biology and or chemistry at the high school level preferred.
Strong knowledge of biology and chemistry curriculum and pedagogy.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
A commitment to student success and lifelong learning.
