Empire Life is seeking a Senior Underwriter for its Retail Underwriting team. You will leverage your leadership and technical skills to analyze risks and support sales teams. Key Responsibilities:
• Assess risk for life insurance applications up to $3 million
• Provide sound risk decisions supporting Sales & Marketing teams
• Analyze financial and medical information for mortality risk
• Collaborate with reinsurers to manage excess risk
• Coach and mentor junior underwriters to enhance skills
Requirements:
• Over 3 years of individual underwriting experience
• Proven coaching and mentoring abilities
• Strong analytical and problem-resolution skills
• University degree in life sciences or related field
• FLMI or FALU certifications are assets
