Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled and passionate Professional Violin Teacher with a minimum of 2 years of teaching experience. The ideal candidate will be committed to helping students build strong fundamentals, musical expression, and performance confidence.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience teaching violin (private or group lessons)
- Formal training in violin performance, music education, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of violin techniques, including posture, bowing, intonation, and tone production
- Ability to teach students of all ages and levels (beginner to advanced)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patient, organized, and reliable
- Bilingual (English/French) is an asset
Responsibilities
- Conduct one-on-one violin lessons tailored to each student’s level and goals
- Teach proper techniques, music reading, and performance skills
- Develop structured and engaging lesson plans
- Prepare students for recitals, performances, or examinations
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Create a positive, encouraging, and professional learning workplace
- Communicate effectively with parents and students as needed
Preferred Skills
- Experience preparing students for RCM exams or similar programs
- Ability to teach different styles (Classical, Contemporary, etc.)
- Basic piano skills for accompaniment (an asset)
