Program Overview The Volunteer Program Trainer is responsible for coordinating, training, and supporting student volunteers during their placements within the hospital. This role delivers standardized training, facilitates volunteer rotations, supports recruitment initiatives, and maintains volunteer program resources to ensure a positive experience for volunteers, patients, families, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and deliver orientation and training for student volunteers
- Develop and maintain standardized training materials and procedures
- Coordinate volunteer rotations across multiple departments
- Train volunteers in patient and visitor support including wayfinding, customer service, wheelchair transport, comfort rounds, and unit tours
- Monitor volunteer participation and communicate concerns or opportunities for improvement to the Volunteer and Community Outreach Coordinator.
- Represent Volunteer Services at community outreach and engagement events
- Promote volunteer opportunities through school and community partnerships
- Maintain inventory and organization of volunteer program resources
- Support collection of volunteer program data and administrative documentation
- Participate in program evaluation and continuous improvement initiatives
Essential Requirements:
- Robust communication skills

- Experience training, mentoring, or supervising youth, students, or volunteers
- Organizational and time-management skills
Compensation: $17.95/hr
