Middle Years Grade 7-8 Teacher (0.33 FTE - Temporary) Irwin School Competition # 4127 The Chinook School Division requires a full time (1.0 FTE) continuing teacher at Irwin School beginning August 26, 2026 (or as soon as possible). The teaching assignment would include afternoon's teaching Grade 7 and 8 Health, Grade 8 Art and Physical Education. The specific assignment and classes will be determined with the successful candidate based on their skills and qualifications. Irwin School is a K-8 school with approximately 390 students and 24 teachers.

Qualifications:




Effective interpersonal and communication skills;
Proven ability to work collaboratively and an ability to work in a team environment;
A teaching philosophy that reflects a constructivist and cooperative learning approach;
Ability to work effectively within an environment which includes developing meaningful and productive relationships with students, parents, PLC's, professionals and community service agencies;
Demonstrated ability to connect with youth in a student-centered learning environment in addition to having an interest or willingness to connect with students outside of the classroom;
Demonstrates a commitment to truth and reconciliation
Demonstrates a commitment to supporting diversity and inclusion
Successful teaching experience or training;
Certified as a Teacher in valuable standing in Saskatchewan or the ability to be certified.
