Plan , direct, andevaluate the operations of wholesale and retail salesestablishments or departments within suchestablishments.
Manage personnel anddelegate responsibilities.
Investigate marketresearch and trends to ascertain consumer demand, potentialsales volumes, and the impact of competitors’ operations onsales.
Determine themerchandise and services to be sold, as well as the pricing andcredit policies to be followed
Find, select,
andpurchase merchandise for resale.
Develop andimplement marketing strategies
Plan budgets andauthorize expenditures
Determine staffingneeds and hire or supervise the hiring of personnel.
Requirements
Secondaryschool completion is required.
Auniversity degree or a college diploma in businessadministration or a related field to the product or servicebeing sold may be required.
Severalyears of related retail sales experience at increasing levels ofresponsibility are required.
Natural leadershipskills.
Outstanding customerservice abilities.
