Be the Clerk for the Métis Nation Legislative Assembly, ensuring legislative integrity and procedural support. This critical role enhances the Assembly's operations while respecting its traditions.
The Clerk is integral to the MNLA's functions and is appointed for a term of four years. Responsibilities include organizing meeting documents, preparing agendas, and managing minute-taking processes. Ideal candidates will possess solid organizational and communication skills, along with an understanding of Métis governance and legislative frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
• Compile the Order of the Day documentation
• Draft and prepare the Assembly agenda
• Secure and maintain certified minutes of proceedings
• Facilitate the recording of Assembly discussions
• Notify on Appeal decisions and statuses
Requirements:
• Knowledge of legislative procedural practices
• Strong communication and record-keeping abilities
• Neutrality and professionalism in role execution
• Familiarity with Métis culture is an asset
• Preference for candidates who are MN-S Citizens
