KGH is seeking a Cardiac Anesthesiologist to contribute to its high-volume cardiac surgery program that operates with 600 cases annually. Working alongside 44 anesthesiologists, the successful candidate will offer pre-operative consultations, manage ICU care, and be part of a respected cardiac surgery team. This role includes teaching opportunities and participation in medical education programs with the University of British Columbia.

Key Responsibilities:
• Administer anesthesia for cardiac surgeries
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative support




• Oversee patient care in the Cardiac Surgery ICU
• Engage in short-term mechanical support procedures
• Contribute to TEE support for complex surgical cases

Requirements:
• Completed 12-month fellowship in Anesthesiology
• TEE certification from the National Board
• Fulfillment of hospital privileging criteria
• Willingness to manage diversely specialized cases
• Involvement in educational initiatives
