Operate industrialvacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and otherrefuse
Wash windows,interior walls and ceilings
Empty trash cans andother waste containers
Sweep, mop, scrub andwax hallways, floors and stairs
Clean snow and icefrom walkways and parking areas
Cut grass and tendgrounds
Clean and disinfectwashrooms and fixtures
Make adjustments andminor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing andelectrical systems, and contact trades persons for majorrepairs
Perform other routinemaintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair
May water and tend toplants
May move heavyfurniture, equipment and supplies
Ensure that securityand safety measures are in place in the establishment
May advertisevacancies, show apartments and offices to prospective tenantsand collect rent
May supervise otherworkers.
Requirements
Ability to manageyour time efficiently.
Work well whensupervisors are not present.
Ability to lift atleast 25 pounds.
Handle basicmaintenance, building repairs, cleaning, and other janitorialwork.
Basic mathskills.
Able to work safelywith a variety of cleaning supplies.
High schooldiploma.
Able to use basiccleaning equipment.
