PEACE WAPITI ACADEMY is seeking candidates who enjoy working in a student-focused and collaborative environment. We invite applications for a Full-Time Library Assistant (35 hrs/wk).
Reporting to the Principal, the Library Assistant will be actively involved in creating an environment that is dynamic and collaborative for inquiry, with unlimited accessibility, where all learners are welcomed, engaged and supported in their personalized learning pursuits both in the library and within classrooms.
Experience Experience working in an educational setting is preferred
Experience and/or training with library procedures, cataloguing and filing systems
Experience in an automated setting and in the library field is preferred
Other combinations of applicable education, training, and experience, which provide the knowledge, abilities, and skills necessary to perform the position may be considered

Duties And Responsibilities Library working with students through varying formats and roles,
act as a resource to teachers and students in obtaining information and materials,
circulation, maintaining and updating the resources necessary for a school library, and
providing research and resource support to students and staff at the school.
Other Provide support for various school needs as identified and assigned by School Administration
Be familiar with and adhere to District Administrative Procedures that relate to the position
A current Criminal Record Check (including Vulnerable Sector Check), dated within the last six months, is a condition of employment.
Terms and conditions of employment are outlined in . Salary is commensurate with education and experience. The salary range for this position is $21.28/hour to $28.02/hour.
