As a Licensed Mechanic, you'll report to the Fleet Services Manager in the Public Works Department. Your expertise will ensure the safety and reliability of our heavy and medium-duty vehicles, including specialized equipment. This role requires proficiency in diagnostics, repairs, and the use of OEM software, along with a commitment to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain and repair the City’s fleet of vehicles
• Diagnose issues using manufacturer specifications
• Perform mechanical repairs on various vehicle components
• Conduct routine servicing, including oil changes and tune-ups
• Respond to emergency vehicle breakdowns
Requirements:
• Valid 310T and 310S licenses in good standing
• Ozone Depletion Certificate
• Experience with heavy equipment maintenance preferred
• Valid DZ driver’s license
• Strong knowledge of electronic and hydraulic systems
