The District of Saanich is hiring temporary Leaf Truck Operators for three months. This role is perfect for experienced commercial vehicle operators who are safety-conscious and enjoy working outdoors. You'll coordinate field activities, maintain equipment, and provide support to a team of labourers while interacting positively with the public.

Key Responsibilities:
• Operate and maintain tandem-axle leaf collection trucks
• Coordinate daily field activities and crew operations
• Collect leaves throughout Saanich from streets and parks




• Assist with traffic control and educate residents on leaf placement
• Complete pre-trip inspections and monitor vehicle conditions

Requirements:
• Grade 12 or equivalent education
• Minimum one year of related experience
• Valid Class 3 B.C. Driver's Licence with air brake endorsement
• Demonstrated ability to operate leaf collection equipment
• Physical fitness to perform outdoor work in various conditions
